Keys-Willmer cell

Keys-Willmer cell
chloride secreting cell (a cell in the gills, especially along the bases of the secondary gill lamellae and the pseudobranchs when present, which excrete chloride, potassium and sodium ions in marine fishes. These cells maintain the osmotic balance from the loss of water via the gills and the necessity of drinking sea water)
